1 Attitudes about sex-according to recent research, women with BPD tend to have more negative attitudes about sex. There may be numerous reasons for this, but contributing factors may include abuse/sexual abuse in childhood, and conflict in relatonships
2 Reckless sex-this occurs because of the BPD persons symptom of impulsivity. Intense sadness, fear, jealousy, or positive emotions may also lead to this
3 Promiscuity-they may use sex to combat feelings of emptiness
4 Wanting sex constantly-this may lead to reckless or indiscriminate sex
5 Never feeling sexual-everybody with BPD is different, and this can occur as often as the above situation
6 Alternating between wanting sex constantly and not wanting it at all
7 Using sex to fill an emotional void or get validation
8 Only being able to have casual sex
9 Only being able to have sex in a committed relationship
10 Losing interest in sex quickly
11 Feeling intense rejection when their partner dosen't want to have sex or dosen't orgasm
12 Being unfaithful
13 Dissociating while having sex
14 Being afraid of sex
15 Jumping into sexual relationships too quickly
16 Not feeling "good enough" in bed
17 Feeling unworthy of experiencing sexual pleasure
18 desiring "rough" sex
19 Feeling deeply insecure when having sex
20 Being especially attuned to your partner's needs in bed
-Most remarkable features of certain BPD patients is their sexual aura
-Their partners are likely to experience an ecstatic frenzy as it is rare to find someone who exudes an unmatched sexual force
-A person with BPD will sometimes use sex to manage their relationships
-Those with BPD tend to be hypersexual
-Since the person with BPD wavers between a simplistic good/bad worldview, and makes impulsive decisions, promiscuous and unsafe sex practices are likely
-Sex may be used to quell anxiety
-Sex addiction is common among people with BPD
-People with BPD and hypersexuality tend to use hypersexual behavior as a method of endangerment and self-harm, especially in regards to practicing safe sex
